crazy, hot girl who lives in squalor, but lives for pizza…

The Standard Hotel

I found some more info on why the hotel I stayed at was so cool. In fact, I was staying there when the LA Times was interviewing people and scoping the place. In the picture from the article, you can see a movie screen behind it. The movie was of women putting on lipstick. Weird. Anyway, I noticed that, left my seat that was four seats from Andy Dick, went out of the lobby, and passed David Spade before I headed off to Vynyl. Of course, because I didn’t want to wait in line, I headed to another bar that was written about in the LA Times. Basically, I am the shit.

Dirty Old Men

What is up with the dirty old men? So I got off work early (read: made no money, sent home) and headed over to the grocery store to pick up some food. Low and behold, some yucky guy (I mean straight out of Deliverance) in a Montana-like truck with camper bed, you know, something a pedophile would drive, is honking at me. Just because I am hoofin’, doesn’t mean I am hookin’. This guy drives slowly beside me, honking, for about 5 blocks. I flip him off. So I get my coupons on at the store and walk back, a different route. I have 3 grocery bags, with a Red Baron pizza and some Ben and Jerry’s prominently displayed. Another dirty old guy slows down, honks, and I flip him off. I see this really hot guy walking to his car, I mean, total rockstar mentality, and I guess the fact that he was wearing black pants and a black shirt in the summer alerted me. Anyway, he was hot, and he was digging me. I smiled back and who comes driving up behind Mr. Eligible Bachelor? You guessed it, Mr. Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places. I just yelled “Gross! Oh hell no!!” and he finally drove off.  So it’s official, I attract mental cases (hello, all black and it was at least 95 degrees) and dirty old men. I guess wearing shorts and a tight tank top didn’t help me.

Robin Thicke

I’m in love. Everyone knows I am a music fanatic who cannot look any CD section of any store in the eye for fear of buying everything. And I always look for new stuff, a new sound, or something different. But enough about me. Let me sing the praises and profess my love for Robin Thicke. Oh my goodness, what a talented, beautiful, soulful man. I was minding my own business, flipping channels, when I feast my eyes upon lovely brown scruffy hair and deep eyes. Then I heard a sample of the 70’s hit A Fifth of Beethoven backing up a sexy, melodious voice. But the thing that got to me was the words he said. I have dreamed of a man saying to me, or just at least thinking “All these intrusions just take us too long/And I want you so bad/Because you talk pretty/because you walk pretty/cause you make me sick/and I’m not leaving/Till you’re leaving…So I pray to something/ she’s keeps bluffing/Rubbing up on me/Does she want me to make a vow?/Does she want me to make it now?/On my house, on my job, on my loot, shoes, my voice, my crew, my mind, my father’s last name?” Simple yet brilliant. I want to get him alone! Oh yeah, I got it bad. All I know is, his CD drops some time this summer. Unfortunately, this is all the information I could find on him, besides an illegal mp3 I begged a friend at work to find. If anyone has any information on him, please email me. [sic As of 2007, he went multi-platinum! I know how to spot them!]

House hunting again

Loobylu is moving to nice, big house.  Why can’t I?  Depressing.  I will look at a crap load of houses tomorrow.  I cannot wait!  I am looking at a HUD home, one piece of crap, and two others that are in my neighborhood.  All are way under my price range.  Wish me luck.

I miss Cali

I got back in one piece from LA, my liver and all. My God, did I party like a rockstar!  My first night, I hung out at the poolside bar (drank too much) and then I went to the Bar at Standard.  Somewhat lame.  I mean, it was great to get in (because I was staying at the hotel) and because some models hit on me. But I was wearing a black skirt, backless top and mules.  Yep, I was overdressed.  I met some great people and decided to go to an after hours club.  The wait was over an hour.  We went to another club and that was cool. I didn’t even pay a cover! The next night, I went to Vynyl.  Very cool.  I was planning on going with someone I met the night before(Mr. Long Beach), but we kept missing each other by phone.  So I was quite surprised when after going to another bar, because the wait was too long, that we walk right towards each other on a side street.  I think it was a sign.  Anyway, that club was way better and I blended in, wearing jeans and a halter top.  The next day, I hit a happy hour, stayed in and chilled with Mr. Long Beach.  My wake up call was at 3 am, so I was not up to going out.  I did eat at some great restaurants and splurged on myself.  Don’t worry, I didn’t spend too much.  All in all, it was a very good trip.  I look forward to going back to California soon.  So is everyone else.  Just don’t know when. I definitely have the vacation days to do it.  I would like to stay in Santa Monica the next time…

California, here I come

Long time no see. I work seven days a week and I am really focusing on buying a house.  The one that I wanted would be a money pit, so I am looking for something that doesn’t need so much work; less structural, more cosmetic.  But soon, I will be relaxing in beautiful Los Angeles. Oh yes, I am going by myself.  I don’t want to talk to anyone, meet anyone or see anyone.  I am going to the beach, I will do some shopping, and I will check out some good eats.  My co-workers were making fun of me because I am staying at some shee shee fru fru hotel.
