Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. It is a time where you give up something as a sacrifice, or you do something everyday to make yourself a better person. I have given up alcohol, chocolate, beef, sex, and swearing before. I think this time I will write everyday, something, anything, to make myself a better writer. But enough about that soul-searching crap. I am going to miss Temptation Island tonight!!! Oh the humanity! It is the finale!!! Oh the horror, the horror!! I am actually going out on another date with the Norwegian. I already miss the beer.

I went to a kick ass party at this museum on Saturday. They had a huge Absolut Vodka bar. I was in heaven. They needed more food. All they had was chips, salsa, mini burritos and some skinny wrap thing. I was starving. The zydeco bands and the dj were excellent. I spent Sunday on the couch watching movies and eating pizza with the Norwegian. It was a good time. Now I have to clean my house. I am sooooo lazy.

I guess many of you heard about the snow we got yesterday in Maryland. Of course, there were plenty of crazy people driving. I can understand a 5 car pile up or a 10 car pile up, but a 116 car pile up is just stupid. I left early to go to the dentist. I have this weird bluish-green color bands on. I don’t like them. I forgot to mention that the Grammies was a great show. Madonna kicked ass, Elton John and Eminem were awesome and U2 rocked the house! I was upset that Steely Dan won 3 grammys. What kind of crap is that all about? I thought they were dead.

Valentine’s Day went very well. I picked the wine and we both had the two mini filets with crab sauce. Very nice. This weekend I partied with the Norwegian at some hick ass places in Pennsylvania. Then we drove back to Baltimore and partied even harder. Now I am back at work, and I still have the same liver. Thank goodness for the Grammys. I cannot wait for tonight. I want to see Madonna and Elton John.

It’s VD people. Catch the fever. I am not excited about Valentine’s Day (aka VD). I have never had a good VD. I have never received flowers or chocolate. Basically, guys never hang around long enough to bestow gifts and the two that have gave me different things. Guys, if you’re reading this, don’t give your woman a hoochie mama dress (aka hmd). An hmd is some scantily clad dress that you would like to see her in that makes her look like a porn star. Also, don’t spend all your money on crack so you can’t buy her anything, and then try to make up for it a week later by buying a her a suit. “What?” you say? Yep, that has happened to me. I guess that is why I hate VD. Anyway, the Norwegian is taking me to dinner and apparently he wants me to visit him in Norway. This will be my fourth attempt at a long distance relationship. But enough about that stuff. I am getting a web cam sooner than I think. This will be great for you. There will be plenty of pictures of me and my body parts plastered all over this site soon. I think the setup now is boring. Okay, I have to go eat more chocolate.

The Oscar nominations were revealed this morning. I am not happy because I have not seen half of these movies. I am such a dork. Let me break it down to you: I am so out of it, I have not seen Erin Brokovich. See? I told you I was lame. The only nominated movie that I have seen is Gladiator. Well I am going to have to bust over to Blockbuster and get Erin Brokovich and Almost Famous. Gladiator was sooooo good. I just wanted more blood. And I wanted to see Joaquin Phoenix naked!

Filing your taxes is a bitch, unless you’re like me and are blessed with doing the 1040EZ form. But that just means I make no money, don’t have any kids, and is not married. It is sad, but it is cool because it only took me a half hour to do it. And I got to print it out on my new printer!!! It looks so neat and professional when you print it out. In fact, I am filing my state taxes online right now! I am that good. In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been posting as much. Work has been busy. I attended a 2 day Help Desk certification class in Washington, DC this past week. It was good to get away and it was nice to hear other people agree with some of your frustrations. One of my co-workers announced that he was leaving to work for a company in DC. I am really going to miss him because I won’t have anyone to make fun of anymore. Woe is me. And this also means that I have to pick up the pace when he leaves. So, basically, I will not being having lunch for a long time, which really, really sucks. I would like to have a job where I am not a slave to the phone. I would love to take a vacation or a day off when I want to, and not have to reschedule it. I was planning on taking my mom to Paris in March. I have to push it off once again. This sucks. And I just finished filing my state taxes. I owe $19. This really sucks ass now.

Yeah yeah I know I have not posted in a while. I have been running around and working my ass off, thank you very much. I did manage to sneak away for Super Bowl Sunday. I did start drinking around 12:30 in the afternoon with the Norwegian, but I stopped at 10:00pm. I was a good little girl and went to work the next day. We had a great time watching the game at the Cross Street Market. I think I ate about 6 or 7 raw oysters. Anyway, on Friday, Tina and I thought we would be scandalous, so we went food shopping. Then we busted over to Blockbuster video where I signed up for my very first Blockbuster Card. I was sooooo happy. I watched Scary Movie and What Lies Beneath. They were both excellent. And I am saving the best for last. In fact, let me get offline and so I can watch Gladiator.
