Mardi Gras Queen

My party at Have a Nice Day Cafe (HAND) was kickin’!!  Everyone was drinking, my mom showed up, and we all proceeded to get down.  I headed to Baja Beach Club for some 25 cent beers, and then rolled back to HAND in time to hear some Prince.  On Saturday, Brian the Pimp had a festive Mardi Gras party at his house.  Whoever had the most beads, received the party money.   Let’s just say that I learned from watching Survivor.  I went in for the money, and left with the money.  It was all good, even though I tied with another girl.  I depleted their supply of lethal orange jello shots.  Amy, Kim and I headed to Moby’s in Fell’s Point and did some major dancing and more drinking, beads and all.  After the bars closed, I turned down a lot of offers to recreate exactly what I did to get all those beads.

This just in….I am having yet another Happy Hour Party at Have a Nice Day Cafe.  In other news, Richard, that snake in the grass, won the Survivor contest.  I am asking my colleagues in Australia, my kiwis in New Zealand, and my homies in other countries to email me your suggestions of your favorite show from your country.  Then we’ll fly to New York, pitch the show to CBS or ABC, and watch them give us the money.  I am serious.  ABC is doing Who’s Line is It and The Mole from England.  Big Brother is from Denmark, and Survivor was an Aussie show.  I just wanted to throw that out to you.

I dig Delaware

Delaware was pretty cool.  My friend Heather lives close to a nice mall and Kahunaville.  It is like Dave and Busters and there is a club side to it.  Heather and I had to show people how it should be done in the cage.  We rocked.  On Saturday, we rolled over to her sister’s house on southern PA.  They rented a margarita machine.  It was cool.  Two of her friends got in touch with us because they were rolling to this club in Philly called Shampoo.  Of course, I did not pack any hoochie mama outfits, so Heather and I hit the mall.  Let me tell you, I was in heaven!  There is no tax, the sales were wonderful, and the help was awesome.  I purchased a black stretch faux leather skirt for $15, a red faux suede halter top for $8, and some black high-heeled suede mules for $32. We had an awesome time at Shampoo.  There were 3 different rooms and the music was kickin’.   I am definitely going back again.

Mmmm Cherry Garcia

The rocking chair my mom gave me looks great in my living room.  My day gave the chair to my mom as a gift when she was pregnant with me.  My cats, Mufasa and Diablo, love it.  They actually fight each other to sit in it!  I told them to play nice, so now they share.  I actually took a pretty good picture of them last night.  I will post it as soon as I get it developed. In other news, I was so happy to get some free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream at the Inner Harbor the other day. Do you want to know what I ate yesterday?  I had a bagel for breakfast, 2 ham sandwiches, some salt and vinegar pringles, and some Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia for lunch.  One of my coworkers surprised me with an extra Esskay hot dog from the park with onions and ketchup.  Then I jetted home and ate half a medium size Domino’s Pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms.  Yeah, I have to examine my relationship with food.

San Francisco

My people, my people, I need some help.  If anyone knows any hot spots in San Francisco, please email the info to me.  I need to find a good sushi place (I was thinking Ebisu) and a decent priced, clean hotel. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Always the bridesmaid

I had a great weekend.  I started off with Margaritas and steak fajitas with my mom at Lista’s in Fell’s Point.  On Saturday, I helped her move a futon, frame and new chair to her place.  Then we moved a twin bed, frame, rocking chair, toy chest and plastic outdoor table to my place.  I was tired.  Then I went to David’s Bridal Store with my friend Amy to look at bridesmaids dresses and her wedding gown.  We both looked good!

Brown nosing

Listen boys and ghouls, I found my boss’ web page.  He has encouraged me to do searches for “work related” things from his site’s search engine, which is just like Google.  Hmmmm.  I tried it, and it is WAY better than Yahoo.  So I am asking people to bookmark it and check it out.  And this makes me look good….

So desu, ne

I had an awesome weekend.  On Thursday, I went to the Gin Mill for some $1.25 drafts and $2.50 burgers.  Then Matt and I headed to Have a Nice Day Cafe because one of my friends, Leslie, had a Happy Hour party.  There was free beer and I met a cool Swedish guy, so I was in heaven.  I spent nine bucks.  On Friday,  Leslie’s boyfriend, Manny, had a Happy Hour party at the same place.  This time there was free food, free beer and everything else behind the bar was $2. A bunch of us headed to 723 because they had 25 cent beers until 11pm.  That night I only spent 8 bucks.  On Saturday, I spent some quality time with my buddy Geoff.  I made some smoked sausage and rice, and we drank beer.  After watching two football games, we consumed a substantial amount of beer playing the Iron Chef drinking game.  The rules we have established so far:  each time Ottawa says “Fukui-san,” you must drink.  Every time Ottawa is correct in guessing the ingredients, you must drink.  And each time the “actress” says something like “Oh the texture” or “Oh the pretty colors” or just “Oh,” you must drink. Yeah, this game will make you go through a lot of beers.  It was fun.

Happy Birthday

Today is a very special day.  Two important people were born today.  My homegirl Heather is enjoying being one year younger than myself.  Happy Birthday girlie!  And last, but never least, my homeboy Devon is getting older, but not wiser.  Just kidding!  Happy Birthday honey!

Counters and stats and fans, oh my

You guys may have noticed a counter on my home page.  I like counters but it sucks because if you go to my page a million times in one day, you are only counted as one hit.  The good news is that when I check out my stats for my page, I find that a lot of people dig me several times a day.  It would be great if you loyal fans could send me love notes.  I posted more pictures.  I don’t like most of the pictures of me because I am not in a bikini!  There will be more to come soon…*wink wink*
