Scorpio mentality

I am still biting my nails over this election thing. I am at the point now that I just don’t want to hear one more thing about it. Just tell me who won for goodness sakes. I have yet another happy hour party to attend today. Which reminds me, in a little over a week, I will be one year older, but sooooo not wiser. I still have not figured out what to do for my birthday. I don’t have a fabulous date, so, I’m not expecting flowers or to get laid. Pitiful. Anyway, my friend Laura sent me an e-card about Scorpios. Here it is:

You are strong-willed and energetic with an exceptionally high tolerance for hard work. No matter what the stakes or how difficult the obstacles, you never give up until you have seen a problem through. You are honest in all relationships and when it comes to those you love you are both loyal and possessive. You are noted for your faithfulness and honesty but what is perhaps most admired about you is your remarkable ability to concentrate. Although you have a tendency to become obstinate or headstrong at times, if you temper these characteristics with compassion they will enable you to become a skilled and fair leader. Scorpios make excellent scientists and often achieve success as surgeons or in the research and laboratory fields. They are also artistically and musically inclined, with a sincere appreciation for the arts and literature.

This is all sad but true.

Vote

You will be very proud of me.  I voted today!  I was exercising my right to vote.  You should too. Even if you are a Republican. Uh-oh, I used the “R” word.  I am planning on updating this site to Flash.  If you have any suggestions, or know of any good tutorials, email me. I have submitted my paperwork for my laptop through work.  Soon I will be updating this site with a sweet Sony Vaio.

I lost my ring

All hope is lost.  This morning, as I was racing out the door for work, I lost my ring.  I bought this ring in London for 3 bucks and I love it. Everyone loves it. They think it is a mood ring, because it is this beautiful bright blue stone on a silver setting. It has not rusted or left a green mark on my finger.  I always wear it, I rub it when I am upset and I smile when I look at it.  And it’s gone.  Right now, I am not confident.  I feel like my world is going to end.  Things just don’t seem sunny without that ring.

I live in a crackhouse

I forgot to mention that this past weekend, I purchased a down comforter, some flannel sheets and a flannel duvet from Hecht’s.  It was so nice to sleep in spanking new sheets, but my boys had to ruin it.  A hairy paw that belongs to a fat cat named Mufasa woke me at 3 am this morning. And Diablo wanted attention.  Apparently I am taking up too much space in the queen size bed.  I was watching the show Cribs on MTV last night.  Interesting stuff.  Let’s just say my abode is humble.  Actually, I will break it down for you:  My place makes me look like a crack whore.  I have bare walls everywhere and stuff piled on the floor.  I had to do some rearranging to accommodate the gym, so my storage space is limited. Basically, I’m a slob.

Mmmm Cherry Garcia

The rocking chair my mom gave me looks great in my living room.  My day gave the chair to my mom as a gift when she was pregnant with me.  My cats, Mufasa and Diablo, love it.  They actually fight each other to sit in it!  I told them to play nice, so now they share.  I actually took a pretty good picture of them last night.  I will post it as soon as I get it developed. In other news, I was so happy to get some free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream at the Inner Harbor the other day. Do you want to know what I ate yesterday?  I had a bagel for breakfast, 2 ham sandwiches, some salt and vinegar pringles, and some Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia for lunch.  One of my coworkers surprised me with an extra Esskay hot dog from the park with onions and ketchup.  Then I jetted home and ate half a medium size Domino’s Pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms.  Yeah, I have to examine my relationship with food.

Thanks a bunch

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my devoted friends for NOT showing up at BAR on Friday.  That is okay, it wasn’t like I was at a place I had never been to before.  And no, I didn’t get harassed by some dork that I used to date.  Oh, wait a minute, that actually happened.  And it was horrible. You truly have not lived until you cuss a person out in English and in French.  It’s not like I had a long stressful week at work and in my personal life, and I was looking forward to seeing some people I have not seen in a long time.  Oh goodness, there I go again, that is actually true.  So basically, you all missed out on free shots and the free passes I had. But now, I am going to keep them all to myself.  So, once again, thanks!
